With over thirty-two years of dentistry experience, Dr. Julie Furber is dedicated to developing treatment plans that are individualized for patients based on their needs and desires. Looking at the mouth as a functional unit and treating it comprehensively from the start can eliminate the continual breakdown that creates the need for ongoing treatment. Dr. Furber’s education has given her the discernment to know which cases need rehabilitation and which just need simple fillings.
Practicing dentistry in Yucaipa, California, and in the greater Inland Empire, Dr. Furber also helps her patients improve their smiles through the latest aesthetic dentistry procedures.
A graduate of Walla Walla University in Washington State, Dr. Furber received her D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from Loma Linda University in California, where she was a clinical instructor and also held an Associate Professorship in the Department of Restorative Dentistry.
Dr. Furber’s post-graduate education has allowed her to keep up-to-date on the latest techniques in aesthetic dentistry, occlusion (bite), TMJ (temporomandibular joint), full mouth reconstruction, Nobel Biocare dental implants and implant-retained dentures, and the prevention of dental disease. She has taken courses in advanced dental studies at Spear Education and The Dawson Academy. Both of these institutions emphasize the relationship between the bite and the joint, aesthetics, gum and bone support, and function. If one piece isn’t right, how does that affect the rest of the mouth, and will it cause damage over time?
Dr. Furber is a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Tri-County Dental Association and the Crafton Hills Open Space Conservancy. She has received awards from Who’s Who and TopDoc.
An enthusiastic photographer, Dr. Julie Furber enjoys traveling, bicycling, and fly-fishing.
A Letter from Dr. Furber
Dear Neighbor,
It’s my pleasure to introduce myself. I’m Julie Furber, DDS, a dentist with 32 years of experience in private practice. I strive to maintain prevention and excellence in patient care. My focus is on restoring your mouth in the best way possible to achieve health, function, and aesthetics.
In order to provide the best care I possibly can, I’ve studied at the Dawson Academy and with Spear Education. This has enhanced my understanding of how the mouth works and how that affects long-term health, comfort, and aesthetics. It is the philosophy of looking at the mouth as a whole, whether the case is simple or complex.
I have seen too many patients who have suffered through a tooth-by- tooth, piecemeal approach; the good news is there is another way. Looking at the mouth as a whole initially and treating comprehensively allows me to deliver predictable, long-lasting dentistry. My post-graduate education and my experience has given me the discernment to know which cases need rehabilitation and which just simple fillings.
Stable, comfortable, and aesthetic dental health gives us all something to smile about!
At our first meeting, I will take the time to get to know you and your dental needs. I strive to tailor your care to your needs and desires. I invite you to call my office today, so we can discuss your dental concerns.
